So this spring season seems to be the spring of sequels for me. There are a ton of sequels airing. And some of them are sequels I’m interested in. Right now I’m watching three shows:Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, Nisekoi season two and Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic. Mild spoilers below the cut.

The Winter Season isn’t too much to look at but it seems the best it has to offer has aired.
Too bad I haven’t had time to watch anything but Yama no Susume, which was adorable and will write my thoughts on at three episodes viewed.
(Most of this post was written two weeks ago when I’d watched episode one. Then it took two weeks to get this up because one of my closest friends decided to dump me. Over one thing. Yes, I asked him. It because I told him he was being a dick. Short story is, even though this was the meanest thing I ever did to him and the result of him being nasty to me, he just believed that while friends don’t insult friends even if they don’t realize it’s an insult, and they don’t forgive friends for making mistakes. Cue emotional breakdown/personal crisis/ and two weeks of me being too depressed to do shit as I’ve been really hard to clean up my act and be a better person, but I’ve done too much work to not post it.)
Well, you know how the story goes. Boy meets girl. Boy becomes interested in girl. Boy tastes and becomes addicted to girl’s saliva…okay, more like the typical boy meets girl story with a fetish shoved in because this is a Japanese anime. That fetish is, well, saliva.
However, this is a case where the fetish fanservice, but doesn’t consume the show but rather it’s a side note to the story. An awkward side note, but side note none the less.
Wait? I thought there wasn’t going to be a Little Busters! anime? Or was it that KyoAni wasn’t going to be making it? Well, we’ll find out tomorrow if this was early April Fool’s, or really happening. Either way, I need to start playing the VN…
(This quarter might allow me to blog. We’ll see.)
Before we go “Why isn’t this on time?” it’s worth noting I have an outside job I don’t talk about on here and when I do it, it eats up a lot of time.
Persona 4 is hardly a new game, having come out my sophomore year of High School, but it’s been creating a lot of buzz this year with all sorts of news surrounding it. I also finally bothered to sit down and play it this year.
In Shoujo, there’s a lot of generic predictable stories. Girl meets boy, don’t like each other at first, and through the course of various stories fall for each other and start going out, and then the series focuses on the trials of their relationship until it climaxes with them deciding to be together forever or something. It makes for good reading
and I may devour them like mad.
But it doesn’t make very good anime usually. I don’t know if it’s the anime that ends up adapted or the pool out there, but it usually plays out like a reverse harem anime, or boring as hell.
Good shoujo anime seemed like a thing of the past. Or did until a fall anime decided to surprise everyone.
After an lovely harddrive meltdown, my computer seems to be up and running, and finally back to torrenting. There’s a lot I still don’t have, such as needing to reset Windows Mail, Steam, a billion other things etc, but you know, at least my torrents are working again.
I had to see my immunologist this month for what I thought was going to be a routine visit. She asked me some questions and then leveled with me, for the first time going in detail about my condition and what was next. I thought from my last visit I was IgA deficient, but it turned out I am actually IgM deficient. IgM deficiency is so rare, it’s own condition instead of being lumped in with CVID. Long story short, I have reduced ability to fight off infections, viral and bacterial. As far as I can tell, it leads to better day to day quality of life, but a worse prognosis due to the lack of knowledge and it being harder to treat.
The main stresser was her saying that unless there are improved levels in the bloodwork, I’ll have to start getting monthly imouoglobian infusions. Which is going to lead to arguing with the insurance company, as each treatment runs $10,000 for an adult. Plus, I’m really scared of needles which are stuck in my body, and the process takes hours. Right now waiting on those results.
My doctor works very hard to be non-alarmist as she deals with conditions with varying degrees. She talks about what we’re going to do, not what could possibly happen, and doesn’t go into details unless questions are asked.
Still, anime watching is happening, and posts that are actually about anime coming soon.
Edit: After looking at blood test levels, the doctor decided to wait on transfusions. So I’m off the hook for the next six months or so.
As you know Bob, if you Bob are a reader of this blog, I constantly am not blogging and am complaining it’s because I’ve been sick, and promise I will return soon. Well Bob, this pattern happened again with something slightly different. I went to a different doctor, and they discovered I had a parasite inside my body. Which…is…uh…well, I didn’t believe it at first. Luckily, it was very easily treated once diagnosed.
Once the meds killed it dead, I felt better then I’ve felt since my Junior year of High School. I was left with a wee problem though. I was way behind in schoolwork for the quarter. No time for blogging yet, I had to buckle down and catch up. Now with the quarter ending for me tomorrow, I can enter a blissful existence of catching up and writing, right?
Talking about, I wonder what’s going on in the real world…I mean, I’ve been keeping up with the Republican primaries despite being Democrat as it’s by far the most engrossing reality show this year. When the producers came up with the concept, did they realize the trainwreck and awesome they had on hand? I needed something to be hyped about after Doctor Who.
Oh, wait, what’s this about American Censorship Day? Congress is what? Even worse? they’ve been trying to sneak this past the American public?
Getting back into blogging has been hard. Maybe it’s because I’m out of the habit, or maybe it’s feeling nervous and as if my safe space has been violated. Not that I’m giving up. I have drafts I’m working on, and should have some new posts soon. It’s just taken me awhile to get going again.
My life, as life tends to, goes on. I had a sinus infection relapse, and this time, we found out the autoimmune condition that I have. It’s not treatable, but knowing the beast really makes a difference.
Regarding the summer season, I have one show I want to watch, but I’ll be focusing on catching up on shows that I’ve left unfinished, and just tie up loose end. Suggested Reading WILL return next week. If nothing else, that will continue.
I’ve also started a job that I can’t talk about online, but because of it, I need to start using a pen name online. I’ve chosen h.n. elly after the hikkomori-esque witch in Madoka. I’ve also taken down the Homura photos for identity protection purposes. While I dislike change, I am thankful to God for this opportunity, and these adjustments are ones I’m happy to make. This is a new chapter in my life, and probably a new slightly different chapter for Black and Blue Socks.
