What a week! It’s been an exciting one, but also a busy one for me.  This week, I’ve been taking care of a sick family member, as well as completely the hands on training required to become a volunteer for the Humane Society. I also have not slept as much as usual this week. I also must apologize for the Suggested Reading Post this week, as I lost a bunch of posts in my google reader before I got to read them, and as such, am probably lacking some wonderful posts.

Landon talks about why Kyubei is such a fab villain. Yes, he ruined it with his great reveal in the last episode, but still worth reading.

I like Dreameater Merry. One Minute of Dusk does a great job of explaining what makes it enjoyable for me.

Pokemon Crossover Fanart

There are six days until Pokemon Black and White comes out in America. I am stoked. The real bummer is I have to go to church before I can get the game, but oh well. Out of anticipation, there are going to be quite a few pokemon related posts this week on whatever the heck I feel like. Today, it’s going to be a look at the amount of Pokemon crossover with other animes fanart out there. (If anyone is for some reason trying to keep from being spoiled for 5th gen, this post is not for you.)

Shinryaku! Ika Musume first impressions

Shinryaku! Ika Musume is hard to find much to talk about. It’s, in a nutshell, cute mindless entertainment that succeeds at both being funny as well as keeping the viewer engaged. It had a very light hearted first episode containing promise of some very strong and likable characters. We’re left watching the antics of Squid Girl when she comes ashore and meets up with the family running the shop on the beach.
