Shameless Shipping Day 3 Yui x Hinata

So I’m continuing this year the tradition that started at the blog Borderline Hikkomori, and I continued doing over here last year. Except I’m only doing 7 days this as opposed to 14, as, uh, well if you don’t know what last week was like for me by now, I’m not going to spell it out for you. As always, if you’re comment is to tell me how much you hate my ship, I reserve the right to mock you, and will probably also block you from my blog.

I have no idea if these two count as a canon couple or not, but either way, they’re really really cute. Even though I’m not a big fan of Yui on he own, I’m a sucker for the pair.

The moment between these two was to me, one of the best moments of Angel Beats. After all, we learn just what a wild ride Yui took Otonashi for, revaling herself to me the token sick girl always seen in Madea’s work, and that what she was making him do was for shits and giggles. After all, what she wanted was something that could only be granted in a past world, not this one.

Then Hinata comes and gives this moving speech where he promises, if there is a chance to do things, to defy all odds to make her wish a possibility and achieve for her what she wants. Then she is finally able to move on, and dammit, it’s touching.

Although me having a soft spot for a guy willing to date a sickly girl shouldn’t be a surprise at that. To me, that’s a true man.

(Say what you want about Glee, but I’m not a Underwood fan)

  1. A great couple, and definitely a moving moment. Hinata’s my favorite character in the series, and he and Yui are definitely a fitting couple.

  2. Yi

This is the cutest couple in Angel Beats! I totally ship this too. ^ ^

  3. Great choice of images, they’re lovely~

I remember how amazed I was when, not long after ep 10 of AB! aired, pixiv literally exploded with Yui x Hinata fan art! Fandom certainly is an incredible thing ^_^

  4. Shipped, packed, and sent the moment i saw the two of them and how they interacted with one another. I’m actually more interested in this pairing than Otonashi and Kaede
