Note: If you do not like what I say about you blog, comment, and I will take it down asap. Any rude comments flaming or making fun of other blogs will be deleted, and that person will find their IEP address blocked. Also, these predictions do not necessarily match who I’m going to vote for. Bias will be present, as I know some blogs better then others. We all understand? Good.
Predicted Winner: No Prediction
Black and Blue Socks seems to be a mostly episodic blog, but there’s some other tidbits mixed in, and right now, a lot of coverage of the Anime Blog Tourny, although doing so means she’s been taking a critical look at other people’s blog so this is their perfect time for revenge as well as…what am I suppose to say? Black and Blue Socks is my blog! I have no idea how my blog will come off to other people, and whether they’ll like or dislike it. I know everything that my blog has to offer, a few articles, reviews, episodic blogging, and other random things.
My opponent is Major Arcana, a friend of mine, and I really like her blog. Major Arcana is hard to describe, as Aorii mainly just writes what she feels like. She reviews various things such as manga, light novels, etc as well as talking about whatever she’s reading, watching, and playing. Overall, her blog brings to light many things that would get overlooked. She also writes “pointless rants” about various interesting topics.
I can’t really predict who the better blog is in between us, nor am I looking forward to the competition. Aorii and I are friends, so even I won, that would mean she loses and is out of the tournament. Furthermore, I don’t want to see what people are going to say about, especially considering the drama that happened on Borderline Hikkomori. Ugh.
Predicted Winner: Mecha-Guignol
Daijoubu seems to mainly feature a strange little webcomic that’s mainly features the older blogging generations—though the Hinano comics made me giggle. I really liked Daijoubu’s anime posts, but there aren’t many current ones right now.
Mecha-Guignol would be my definition of a random anime blog. From an impression to a post that aired this week to a wrap-up post of a show that finished last season, and a few “pointless rants” all on the first page. However, Landon’s posts are interesting, and I found myself enjoying both his post about the ‘armadillo effect’ and his wish to be a magical pet. I think Mecha-Guignol is the clear winner for currently having much more anime content.
Why did I predict Beta-Waffle and Daijoubu? Beta-Waffle was about anime. Daijoubu is just about random stuff that sometimes talks about issues in anime, and sometimes pokes fun at older anime bloggers.
