Arakawa Under the Bridge episode 1

This isn’t your typical boy meets alien girl, that’s for sure.

Arakawa

Should do it. She's really cute.

I have yet to see a Shinbo series that I like, so I was wary how I’d feel about this one. This was one has potential though. I will give it that. I don’t know if it’ll deliver, but we’ll see.

Mainly, it’s a comedy. I don’t how to describe the humor, it’s weird over the top that I think most people will love or hate. I loved it. Furthermore, Shinbo’s techniques, which always seem to distract to me, seemed to fit in beautifully, and added more to show.

What instantly captured me right off the bat was the background music. There were some really nice pieces in this show.

I think Ko should just be greatful Nino didn’t kick him back in the river, and really should just relax. Though I’ll give him a break, he’s suffering from culture shock, and it is funny to watch him freak-out.

I’ll keep watching for now, but right now, I’m very worried that this show may be like Maria Holic. The opening will be strong, and then the series will get repetitive and boring. At this point, I will have to wait and see.

Yeah, that’s the way it goes with comedy, I guess. But I loved so much of it. Kuo insisting that he could do it all on his own, and, as a result, falling off the bridge, which normally would generate some sort of shock from onlookers, but Nino shrugs and says, “good luck with that.” 😀

Anyways, I thought it was funny.
