Well, Chartfag posted up the season preview for next season, which has people talking. Overall, I will say that people will be hard-pressed to use this as an example that anime is declining. There are many original titles this season. What’s going to be hard is keep the amount of anime I want to watch down to a manageable level. Although I still have seen people complaining about the amount of moe this season. Seriously, shown by JP’s What I Was Forced To Watch This Week, there’s always been moe, and there always will be moe. People will always find something to complain about I guess.
Beneath the cut is a list of every anime this season, and my thoughts, with the exception of sequels I haven’t seen the first of. There’s just not much to say beyond, ‘I haven’t seen the first season so why would I watch it?’ I’m also not going to insert a picture of the chart, as to fit it in, it will end up squished, and no one will be able to read it. Have a link instead. http://chartfag.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/spring-2010-cfexport.jpg
Senko no Night Raid- Interesting premise, and A1-Pictures has done an amazing job with Sora no Woto so far. I’d like to check this out. I can sense people complaining about the atrocities down in China by the Japanese, and thus has no right to make an anime series, but I’d like to see how the handle this, and whether the gloss over it or actually address it. I know it’s probably the former, but I’m still curious.
Iron Man-Before I was a huge anime fangirl, I was a huge Marvel fangirl. I still am a Marvel fangirl, though not as much. Iron Man is one of the most fascinating Marvel superheroes, so I will be watching.
Yojo-han Shinwa Taikei-While the art style is different, I find it attractive. I have no idea if it’ll work for me, but I want to give in a shot.
Arakawa under the Bridge-On one hand, I haven’t been overly impressed with SHAFT. On the other hand, he has a freaking star for a head. Tough choice…
Rainbow-Nisha Rokubo no Shichinin-Sounds dark and depressing, but awesome!
House of the Five Leaves-While I’m sure this appeals to other people, it just doesn’t appeal to me.
Heroman-So the awesome doesn’t stop with Ironman. We actually have a Stan Lee and Studio Bones collaboration. Yes please!
Angel Beats-I don’t care if Key wrote it. It sounds horribly dumb.
Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Maou- Artland, I still haven’t forgiven you for Earl and Fairy.
Working!-A potential good slice of life. I’m onboard.
Giant Killing-On one hand, I’m not a big football fan, on the other hand, Cross Game has proved that not being a sports fan doesn’t make an anime unappealing. On the third hand, it’s DEEN. After Umineko, I think I’ll wait to see what other people think.
B Gata H Kei-A sex obsessed girl. Sounds too much like my day to day life. Pass.
Kaichou wa Maid-Sama-I don’t care what it’s about, I’ve missed by JC Staff fix. Definitely will watch.
Hakuouki:Shinsengumi Kitan-What’s the rule of thumb with Video Games turned into animes? Pass.
Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitte Iru-More JC Staff? Yes please.
K-On Season 2-I will watch it. I will like it. I won’t care what anyone else thinks.
Mayoi Neko Overrun-I can already tell from the title that I don’t want to watch this.
Kiss x Sis-No.
Yutori-chan-I honesty have no idea what to make of this.
SD Gundam Sangokuden-No.
Bakugan blah blah blah-No.
Hime Chen! Otogi Chikku Idol Lilpri-…it’s too cute…
